The Alliance for Community Development (“the Alliance”) is a Bay Area 501(c)(3) not-for-profit dedicated to ?increasing access to capital and support for local, underrepresented entrepreneurs. The Alliance was started in September 1999 by leaders in small business and economic development in the Bay Area who were concerned that many promising and potentially fast-growing businesses in underserved geographic areas and industries could not access equity capital. We have spent over two decades leading and participating in equity-based community-building for the betterment of small businesses. We move our mission forward through a set of core programs centered in the belief that each unique entrepreneur deserves unique services to meet them wherever they are on their journey.
